JD brings an extensive background of marketing and energy expertise to Rapid Power Management as he helped start up Reliant’s North Texas operations a year before deregulation started in the state. JD earned a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston Clear Lake in ’91, an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Texas at Dallas in ’00. In the Energy field, he has attained a CEM certification (Certified Energy Manager) in December of 2006 and a CLEP certification (Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional) in 2007.

Mike Bowman Mike Bowman, Senior Energy Manager

Mike joined RPM in August 2007, bringing 14 years of sales background from the energy and manufacturing industries. Most notable is his power factor correction experience where he assisted clients in reducing energy costs, by improving power factor efficiency. He was instrumental in the analysis and implementation of over 100 power factor correction projects in 20 different utilities. His client base consisted of many of the most well known names in commercial real estate, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. Prior to that, Mike spent nine years as a manufacturer’s representative serving clients in the oil & gas, heavy equipment, electronics, and semiconductor industries. His background and commitment to customer objectives make him a great asset to RPM and our clients.

Jared Patterson Jared Patterson, Director of Energy Services

Jared Patterson, a graduate of Texas A&M University, joined the RPM team in 2008 and brings experience and knowledge gained in the wholesale electricity and natural gas marketing fields. His knowledge of today's energy market and regulations as well as their effects on commercial and industrial end users, makes him a valued asset to our clients. Since joining RPM, Jared has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Electricity Professionals Association and the North Texas Association of Energy Engineers; where he served as President in 2013. Jared also served his community on the Sachse, Texas City Council from 2009 to 2013.

Steve Nevil, Energy Manager

Steve Nevil, a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington, joined RPM as an Energy Manager and has spent the last 21 years in a variety of positions including Operations, Logistic Efficiencies, Marketing, Sales and Sales Management. His experience includes both direct manufacturing and distribution models within multiple industry sectors. His employment history includes smaller individually owned companies to multi-national conglomerates with revenues in excess of $90B annually. Steve's extensive business acumen and customer centric passion to create and implement proven solutions make him a great asset to our clients.

Brett Thompson, Associate Energy Manager

Brett Thompson is a graduate of the McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics and is a Pi Kappa Phi alumni. He joined RPM in June 2015 as an Associate Energy Manager and brings experience from his time in the customer service and hospitality industries. Brett contributes beneficial customer relationship management and organizational skills to our team. Most notably, Brett's economics expertise and understanding of the business cycle make him a valuable resource for economic trends in the marketplace.

Crystal Renyer Crystal Renyer

Crystal joined Rapid Power Management as a Pricing Coordinator in February 2015. She brings an extensive experience in accounting which helps with both pricing and contract negotiation. Her prior participation in fast-paced environments and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to the RPM team. Crystal earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2008.

Christa Taylor Christa Taylor, Operations Manager

Christa joined RPM as our office manager; handling day-to-day needs of the office as well as supporting the sales team. She has over 15 years of project management experience that were developed at a large cosmetics company, where she was brought in to oversee corporate benefit plans; including Profit Sharing and 401k. She transitioned to the Human Resources division, where she was responsible for recruiting, compensation analysis, and employee development. For the last 6 years, Christa held the role of Director of Operations for a mid-size manufacturing firm.

Christa earned her BS in Business from the University of North Texas in 1991. Her husband and three daughters live in Prosper, Texas.

Sharla Baker Sharla Baker, Office Administrator

Sharla joined RPM as our Office Administrator in October 2015. Prior to joining RPM, Sharla worked for Lewisville ISD as their Food Service Manager. In this role, she was responsible for cash management, inventory control, marketing, and building rapport with students and parents. Sharla also brings over nine years' of Office Management experience from the investment industry. She was responsible for all office functions, as well as, supervising a team of professionals. Now that RPM is in our new building, Sharla will coordinate the services required to maintain our corporate headquarters. She will also be instrumental in assisting in the day to day needs of the office staff, as well as, supporting our growing sales team. Sharla was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her husband and daughter are very excited about her new career at Rapid Power Management.

Kristi Dodson Kristi Dodson

At RPM, Kristi supports the customer appreciation program, employee onboarding program and general office support. She is also busy supporting her husband, JD, and was a stay at home mother to their two wonderful daughters for many years. Prior to raising children, her background included distribution, merchandise planning and purchasing management. Kristi was raised in Plano, Texas and graduated from Texas State University in 1993.

Michael Pullen Michael Pullen

Michael joined RPM in January 2016, bringing 45 years of experience in the electrical construction and service industry. His background includes estimation, purchasing, and project management. He holds a master electricians license in the state of Texas.

His knowledge in the manufacturing sector, which includes; corrugated, plastics, printing, and bakeries, make him a valuable, value-add to our clients. Specifically with power factor, predominant use (sales tax recovery) and lighting retrofit projects.
