JD brings an extensive background of marketing and energy expertise to Rapid Power Management as he helped start up Reliant’s North Texas operations a year before deregulation started in the state. JD earned a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston Clear Lake in ’91, an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Texas at Dallas in ’00. In the Energy field, he has attained a CEM certification (Certified Energy Manager) in December of 2006 and a CLEP certification (Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional) in 2007.

Mike Bowman Mike Bowman, Senior Energy Manager

Mike joined RPM in August 2007, bringing 14 years of sales background from the energy and manufacturing industries. Most notable is his power factor correction experience where he assisted clients in reducing energy costs, by improving power factor efficiency. He was instrumental in the analysis and implementation of over 100 power factor correction projects in 20 different utilities. His client base consisted of many of the most well known names in commercial real estate, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. Prior to that, Mike spent nine years as a manufacturer’s representative serving clients in the oil & gas, heavy equipment, electronics, and semiconductor industries. His background and commitment to customer objectives make him a great asset to RPM and our clients.

Jared Patterson Jared Patterson, Senior Energy Manager

Jared Patterson, a graduate of Texas A&M University, joined the RPM team in 2008 and brings experience and knowledge gained in the wholesale electricity and natural gas marketing fields. His knowledge of today's energy market and regulations as well as their effects on commercial and industrial end users, makes him a valued asset to our clients. Since joining RPM, Jared has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Electricity Professionals Association and the North Texas Association of Energy Engineers; where he served as President in 2013. Jared also served his community on the Sachse, Texas City Council from 2009 to 2013.

Lake Scalise, Energy Manager

Prior to joining Rapid Power Management in March 2014, Lake Scalise worked for top retail electric providers focusing on both commodity sales and customer service. He began in the energy industry when deregulation in Texas started in 2002. His experience includes successfully managing residential sales teams, managing large commercial and industrial sales teams and developing training for those teams to increase customer satisfaction and retention. Lake graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA, where he also played receiver on the Bulldog football team. He is a Rotarian and served on the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Board from 2010-2013.

Jeff Steele, Energy Manager

Jeff Steele came to RPM in August of 2014 from Caterpillar Global Mining where he worked extensively with manufacturing and supply chain processes, change management, and LEAN/Six Sigma manufacturing efforts. Prior to his career at Caterpillar Jeff served for over 10 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Officer and Naval Aviator. In addition to his duties as an pilot he acted as a project manager, exercise coordinator, aviation accident investigator, logistics planner, and training facilitator. His experiences led him to oversee aviation and maintenance operations in the US, Pacific Rim, and Middle East. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Nebraska.

David Knight, Junior Energy Manager

David Knight, a graduate of The University of North Texas, joined RPM in 2014 as a Junior Energy Manager. David received a bachelor's degree in integrative studies with a focus on marketing, is a Theta Chi alum and performed three years with the UNT Men's Chorus. After eight years' experience working in the service industry, he brings strong communication and customer service skills to RPM. His knowledge of sales and marketing principles make him an integral member of the team.

Katie Casse Katie Casse

Katie brought her journalistic and communications background to RPM in July 2011. She began her job in client and sales support and slowly transitioned her role to include implementation of RPMs marketing strategy. She also plans and organizes the distribution of RPM's educational articles. Katie earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Texas Tech University in 2010.

Christa Taylor Christa Taylor, Operations Manager

Christa joined RPM as our office manager; handling day-to-day needs of the office as well as supporting the sales team. She has over 15 years of project management experience that were developed at a large cosmetics company, where she was brought in to oversee corporate benefit plans; including Profit Sharing and 401k. She transitioned to the Human Resources division, where she was responsible for recruiting, compensation analysis, and employee development. For the last 6 years, Christa held the role of Director of Operations for a mid-size manufacturing firm.

Christa earned her BS in Business from the University of North Texas in 1991. Her husband and three daughters live in Prosper, Texas.

Kristi Dodson Kristi Dodson

At RPM, Kristi supports the customer appreciation program, employee onboarding program and general office support. She is also busy supporting her husband, JD, and was a stay at home mother to their two wonderful daughters for many years. Prior to raising children, her background included distribution, merchandise planning and purchasing management. Kristi was raised in Plano, Texas and graduated from Texas State University in 1993.

Jonathan Urrutia Jonathan Urrutia, Engineer

Jonathan joined RPM in November 2013, bringing a great mixture of experience from his past roles in field and applications engineering and project management. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he began his career servicing and supplying generation and auxiliary products for the Power and Oil & Gas industries. He looks to continue his passion for providing the best customer centric service and solutions in the industry for RPM and our clients.
